William Church has served as percussion instructor for both Wheatmore High School as well as Northwest Guilford High School, where he current serves as the Director of Percussion. During his time at Wheatmore High School, William wrote two original works for the Wheatmore High School Marching Band. While working with the Northwest Guilford High School Band, William has written music for both the front ensemble as well as battery for the band's shows.

Wonderland
Commissioned by the 2023 Wheatmore High School Marching Band. This show is a creative twist on the Alice in Wonderland story. Rather then re-telling the story that has been told through several different mediums, this show aims to take the story in a different direction. This show ends with Alice overthrowing the Red Queen and becoming the sole ruler of Wonderland. This show consists of four movements and is written for Piccolo, Flute, three Clarinets, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, three Trumpets, two Mellophones, two Euphonium, two Trombones, Tuba, Piano, Drumset, and five percussion parts. This show is a challenging show for groups both large and small, but delivers a show that is unlike any other!
Carpe Diem
Commissioned by the 2022 Wheatmore High School Marching Band. This show explores the adventures mindset of seizing the day! Dedicated to William's late friend Kaelin Pauling, this show brings together several emotional moments and includes a Mellophone solo during the third movement. Written for Piccolo, Flute, three Clarinets, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, three Trumpets, Mellophone, Euphonium, two Trombones, Tuba, Glockenspiel, Marimba, Drumset, Marching Snare, Marching Tenor, two Marching Bass Drums, and Marching Cymbal, this show is excellent for small ensembles who are looking to perform a powerful show musically!
